Tertiary students gave more favourable evaluations than secondary or language school students, and ESANA students were more positive than Asian students.

Fifty-four per cent of the roll are New Zealand Pakeha students, 16% Maori, 12% Pacific, 3% Asian, and 15% other ethnicities. Linwood College principal Rob Burrough said the school had budgeted for a 30% drop in international students next year.
